Summary
Data science is a growing profession, and an important skill set for further study and careers in STEM. It provides an opportunity for students to develop interdisciplinary skills, while undertaking valuable programming projects that ignite their interest.
For experienced teachers of A-Level Computer Science, this CPD aims to broaden the scope of programming projects among your students. Participants will develop the capability to support students in a broad range of data-science projects across domains, drawing on their maths and science knowledge.

Outcomes
- Access and use a range of sources of real, large data sets of interest to students
- Apply techniques, using Python and its additional packages / libraries, to clean, select and process data sets
- Analyse data to extract meaning, and communicate this
- Fulfil the expectations of A-Level programming projects, ensuring students are supported to maximise their attainment
