Pond Life
The Young Scientist Investigates topic book on Pond Life was first published in 1985 and gives information, illustrated by full colour photographs and drawings, about the animals and plants found in ponds. It gives information about food chains and the characteristics of animals living in and near ponds. It is intended for children aged 8-11 to read and then to answer questions, and carry out some activities including pond dipping and making observations of water plants and animals.
