Count, Read and Order Whole Numbers Up To 1000

This series of interactive excel sheets aimed at students in Year Three look at counting, reading and ordering whole numbers up to 1000. Answers can be checked each time and new questions generated at the click of a button.

The first sheet generates three- and four-digit numbers. Students can either read the numbers in words or change the words to digits.

In the second sheet students can explore how a number is partitioned into its components. By clicking from left to right, students have select the correct number of hundreds, tens and units that are needed to make up a given three digit number.

In the fourth sheet students have to select a digit and place it in the correct space to complete a sum.

In the following sheet students have to make either the biggest or smallest number from three given digits.

In the sixth sheet students have to place three numbers in order on a number line. The value range of the numbers to be placed can be selected, and more number-markers on the line can be revealed to help students.

In the seventh sheet students are given five values to place in order from smallest to largest.

The final sheet shows a 100 number square in which the multiples of two to nine can be highlighted to reveal patterns in the grid.
