Key Stage 3 National Strategy: targeting level 4 in year 7: mathematics

The materials in this publication from the National Strategies, were intended to support students who enter Year 7 having achieved level 3 in the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum tests in mathematics. The aim for these students is that they should attain level 4 as quickly as possible, moving on to level 5 by the end of Year 9.

This resource is split into four sections.

*Section 1 Introduction to Targetting Level Four.

*Section 2 Planning Support

*Section 3 Level 3 to level 4 lessons in number, algebra, shape and space and data handling.

*Section 4 Consolidation lessons
