States of Matter - EAL
This resource helps pupils use the correct vocabulary to describe and explain the different properties of the different states of matter and relate these properties to diagrams of a particle model. The activity sheets provided gradually build the confidence of pupils in using the key words in this subject so that by the end they should be able to construct their own sentences to describe the various states of matter.
The activity sheets include:
- building a diagram to show the relationship between particles and changes in temperature
- matching sentences describing the properties of materials to particle diagrams
- A word fill using appropriate key words
- A sentence construction exercise
- Putting words in the correct order to make a sentence
The worksheets are supported by a powerpoint which includes all the answers.
