The Young Scientist Investigates topic book on Materials was first published in 1984 and gives information, illustrated by full colour photographs and drawings, about the origin and properties of materials used in everyday life. It is intended for children aged 8-11 to read and then to answer questions, make some models and investigate differences between common materials.
